PovertyPoverty is a situation in which one is unable to get even the minimum basic necessities of life such as food, clothing and shelter. A person is considered poor if he is not able to fulfill his basic needs.

There are 3 types of poverty such as Situational: This particular type of poverty is usually temporary as it involves a crisis or loss occurring. Generational: This type of poverty involves the birth of two generations into poverty. Absolute: This particular type of poverty.

The causes for the situation of poverty are; inadequate access to clean water and nutritious food, little or no access to livelihoods or jobs, Conflict, Inequality.Poor education, Climate change, Lack of infrastructure, Limited capacity of the government.

Thefive factors of poverty include ignorancedisease, apathydishonesty and dependency. These, in turn, contribute to secondary factors such as lack of markets, poor infrastructure, poor leadership, bad governance, under-employment, lack of skills, lack of capital, and others
